I’m not sure about medical insurance, but there is a program called Care Credit (www.carecredit.com). It’s kind of like a credit line for humans and animals in case of an emergency. You can get low or no interest plans, and it can help out a lot in terms of finances and emergency medical bills, or things like having your dog spayed or neutered, etc…
I like Trupanion. I have it for my dog and it’s a great price compared to most the others, plus they cover 90% of the bill and they don’t have claim limits or yearly limits. -

I would suggest not getting routine care, with whatever company you choose. You end up paying more through insurance for regular check-ups than if you were to pay for them yourself.
