Does anyone know this?
In an instance when you start to suffer panic, mild or severe, and you get that sudden, it’s difficult to describe, but sort of almost a physical anxiousness right in the center of your chest. And then you start to become very aware of the beating of your heart, etc. etc.
Is there a medical term for this sensation? Thank you.

Vagus nerve response.
An adrenaline rush?
Its an anxiety attack – fight or flight syndrome.
This is more of a deep awareness of your own sensation during a moment of panic.
You would be a great Vipassana meditator (insight meditation) if you practice that method.
It is called a ‘vagus nerve response’
It happens when the body goes into something called ‘flight or fight’ and your body is stimulating the nerves of your heart and brain to cause reactions to extreme situations.
Your body is made up where when needed it will either ‘fight or flight’ or also called ‘feed or breed’.
When the body instinctively knows to be aware of the situation and cause immediate action without really thinking, or when it decides that it can relax and not have any vagus nerve stimulation.
