I have medical insurance, I suffered a stroke, in addidtion I’ve been diagnosis with a brain tumor, however, each time I attend my doctor’s appointment, I am hit with a bill (in or out of network) they are turning into collections and that weighs heavily on my credit, what can I do?

Think really hard about what I’m about to say.
I believe that the corporate world has so influenced our way of life that when the government wants to ALLOW people to have the choice of private or public medical insurance people are so afraid of change they will do anything to prevent it. Corporate insurance companies are so powerfull in creating fear of “the public option” people are so closed minded to accept it.
What is so wrong with having a CHOICE of either public or private health insurance?
They DO NOT want the competition, they are monopolies.

Which state laws do I go by when dealing with the medical and health insurance laws? The laws are different in Texas compared to Missouri and NY. Since I work in NY does the health insurance company have to follow NY state health laws or Missouri laws which is the corporate office of my company? My older sister is very sick and cant afford health insurance. She is constantly throwing up and each time she is take to the hospital they only run a IV then send her home. She was hospitalized with them before as well as many other hospital’s and alway’s released early due to no medical insurance. Please help!!!

He would like to change jobs but is worried his new insurance would not cover her medical expenses because of the “pre-existing condions” protecting insurance companys from liability. Is that only true if he doesn’t have coverage for the 60 days prior to getting a new job or prior to getting the new health insurance……? He currently has a job and health insurance and would wait it out as long as he has to so he will have coverage.
