However, if you want to save more money, by this medication without using the insurance and use insurance only for medications that cost more than $25 without insurance. Normally, if the *actual* cost to the pharmacy is only 7.89, then your husband would also pay only 7.89 despite having a $25 copay. The better question is...why is your husband turning in the prescription on his insurance, if he could purchase it flat out for a lesser amount? Just purchase it straight out for the $7.89.
