I was wondering if i made the right choice to start off in the medical field which is Medical Assistant. I heard from some people who had graduated from the program that it is hard to find a job.
There are alot of schools that train people to become medical assistants now. The field is a little flooded but with most schools they will give you an internship and a lot of the times they hire you right on. If they don’t the school usually has a job placement center that can help you.
You should check you local paper and check the wanted ads to see what kind of jobs are needed in your area.
Just remember though you can advance your training and always do something more specialized.
What exactly do you want to do or be? To be a nurse, you would need more schooling. But being a medical assistant alone, is a wonderful job. You could become the Head Med. Assistant, which would mean more $$. Talk to the office manager. She might have some ideas for you.
Be aware of working with a lot of women. Women ten to get pretty B****y! So stay out of gossiping and back-stabbing, and just do your job!!
