In the U.K it is free. its called the national health service, however our taxes are alot higher in the u.k and things like tobacco and petroleum are extortionate

Of course they pay…anyone who says it is “free” is a misleading liar or ignorant. On average, Europeans with a socialist medical system pay 56% in taxes to cover the expense of “free” medical treatment (Which is 10% more than what the average American pays for their medical services). Their system is also extremely unreliable. Doctors are not as well-trained, and are over-expended because people use the system for minor problems. Also, many people in countries that have socialist health care are poorly treated: There are multiple reports of people dying from minor injuries.

Contrary to popular myth, poor people in the United States WILL and must be treated (by law) by medical personnel even if they can’t afford to pay.

They pay about 50% income tax, to fund their medical care system.

Remember, governments don’t MAKE money, they only get it from taxing the citizens/subjects.
