Are premiums paid for medical insurance deductable medical expenses?

medical insurance
KQ asked:

This is for after tax premiums for medical insurance, and I understand that the only the amount greater than 7.5% of income is considered deductible.

As long as you paid them with after-tax money.

I can’t deduct mine as I did them pre-tax through work.

In the Pub 17, it says, “Medical expenses include the premiums you pay for insurance that covers the expenses of medical care, and the amounts you pay for transportation to get medical care.” So as long as you pay for the medical insurance, you are allow to take that deduction.
